The Whitehall public schools opened Tuesday morning for the 1950-51 school term with a full staff of teachers under the superintendency of William C.

Greer. He has been superintendent the past nine years of the schools of Opheim. Eight teachers are starting their first year in the Whitehall school. Carroll Speck of Whitehall will teach In the Junior high. Miss Marian Kolppa of Bonner will teach English in.

the high school. Miss Joan Cul-bertson of Billings will teach high school English and art. Gerald Raab of Bozeman will be science teacher and assistant coach. will conclude his summer student ministry In the Presbyterian church here with regular worship services Sunday morning. His farewell sermon Is entitled, "The Touch That Transforms." Before returning to Princeton seminary, Mr. Magee will spend a short vacation at his home In Butte and In Glacier park, renewing college acquaintances. He was born In Seattle, but reared In Butte, where he is under the care of the mission of the First Presbyterian -church as a candidate for the ministry. He was graduated from Montana university with a BA degree In English in 1949 and In the fall of that year entered Princeton seminary.

While at MSU he was active In campus religious and dramatic affairs. He was a member of Theta Chi social fraternity, the Intercollegiate Knights and a member of the University Proctor system. At the seminary he Is a member of the traditional Benham club and Is assistant Judiciary of that organization. Two years remain In his theological education. During the past 10 days Mr.

Magee has been feted at a number of farewell dinners and entertainments. Thursday evening he entertained members and friends of the congregation at a reception held in the Women's club room of the Manhattan high school building. Don Jenkins In U. S. Army THREE FORKS, Sept.

Three Rivers Saddle club will present Its first annual horse show Sunday, Sept.

17. at the rodeo grounds at Three Forks, It has been announced. Western "using" and "pleasure" horses of the state are expected to be entered. The show will begin at 3 o'clock. Judges will be Lucille Slgler of Bozeman and Art Lundwall of Butte.

Maynard Sinton of Manhattan will be ringmaster. Prises will be awarded. There will be a parade at 12:15 o'clock In the afternoon. From 1 to 8 o'clock, the Three Forks Civic club will present a locally-organized carnival. Features of special attraction will Include Shetlaand pony rides, a lunch counter, and various novelty booths.

Proceeds of the carnival will be added to the steadily growing Three Forks swimming pool fund. Events of the horse show are as follows: stock class, calf roping, pleasure class, pony class, color class. Merchandise and cash prizes will be awarded. Ribbons will be given the first three place winners ta each division. Two novelty races and a greased pig contest are planned.

Trophies will be awarded for outstanding horsemanship. Persons in of the horse show are: Parade manager, James Lane, stock and feed, Homer White, Tex Simpson and Harley Fltzhugh; grounds, Lester Elbert; advertising and tickets, Charlotte Chryst; awards, Clancy Stalcup; Juanlta Davis; secretary, Alice Nordley. The Immaculate Conception cathedral of Denver was the scene of a beautiful summer wedding Aug. 36 when Margaret Louise, daughter of Mrs. William Lewis, of Twin BrldarM. and Thomas Pitt Houck, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Eugene Houck of Cox's Creek, were united in marriage. Traditional nuptial selections were played ai tne organ. The bride was given In marriage by her uncle, John Mailey ot Twin Bridges. Miss Delores Houck ot Louisville, sister of the groom, was mald-of -honor, and Miss Gladys Lewis of Twin Bridges, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. Arthur Henderson of Denver acted as usher and Philip Hall, life-long friend of the groom, was best man.

The young couple left for Louisville, where they will make their Mrs. Houck Is a graduate of Twin Bridges high school and Colorado Women's college. She received her B. 8. degree from the University of Denver and also attended Montana State college, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.

She was employed for sey-eral months by the Safeway distributing offices of Denver. Mr. Houck to a veteran of World War n. He attended Bowling Green Business university and also graduated from the University of Denver in June. Miscellaneous Shower Given Mrs.

Authoress, Husband Visit at Ranch JACKSON, Sept. 9. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wong of San Francisco are guests this week at the Fred Hirschy ranch on their wedding trip.

Mrs. Wong, a writer, recently completed a novel, "The Fifth Chinese Daughter" (Harper Publishing company). It appears this month. Mr. and Mrs.

Dysart Gowan and daughter, Lois, of Great Falls visited with relatives and friends over the holiday. Durand. Wed to'Marr From Drummond DRUMMOND, Sept. 9. Miss Patricia Mae Rosenbeck, daughter of Mrs. Evelyn Mize of Butte and Frank Rosenback of Drummond, and Stonewall McGulre, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Hugh McGulre of Drummond, were married quietly Saturday afternoon, Sept. 2, at the First Methodist parsonage in Missoula. The Rev. M.

J. Wilcox officiated at the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. G.

R. Bolles attended the couple. The bride, I given in marriage by her father, wore a street length copper satin dress with white accessories and had a corsage of gardenias and roses. Following a dinner party at the Golden Pheasant, the couple left on a two-week wedding trip to the west coast. On their return, they will make their home in Drummond.

Mrs. McGulre was graduated from Drummond high school with the class of 1949, and since has been employed as a waitress. Mr. McGulre is employed at the Anderson Phosphate mine near Garrison'. Mrs.

Delia Gill Legion Hostess BASIN, Sept. 9. Mrs. Delia GUI was hostess to the American Legion auxiliary at an Installation session. Mrs.

Gerald Barry installed. Mrs. Betty Buckles opened the meeting, and the new president, Mrs. John Saxbury, closed the meeting. Refreshments 'and music were enjoyed.

and Mrs. Frank Ramberg during the week end and Labor day. Madison Valley Women Form Hospital Group ENNIS, Sept. 9. The Madison Valley Hospital Volunteers organized last week to aid the nurses ta the Madison Valley hospital.

Mrs. Wayne Cowan was elected leader. The 25 women present pledged four hours a shift for the hospital. Other women have joined the group since. A parking area is being arranged atthe hospital Tuesday.
