Richard Shannon The body of Richard Shannon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shannon, of 502 South Washington street, who died in Rochester, Tuesday, will, arrive in Butte tomorrow and be taken to the Daly-Shea mortuary pending arrangement for the funeral. Surviving relatives, in addition to the parents, are three sisters, Madeline, and Helen Shannon; a brother. Charles Shannon, his grandfather, Joseph Shannon, all of Butte.

Lydia T. Bennett, Butte resident for 50 years who died Tuesday in Helena at the home of a son, Harry P. Bennett, was buried today in Forest Vale cemetery, Helena, beside the body of her husband, George C. Bennett, retired foreman of the Leonard mine who died in Butte this summer. Funeral services were held in St.

Peter cathedral in Helena with the Rev. Henry H. Daniels, officiating. Many friends from Butte attended the funeral. Pallbearers were James Davidson, Frank Crage.

Students of twelve schools will be invited to participate in a Play day to be held in Butte December 4, under the auspices of the Athleta club of Butte high school, it was announced at meeting of the executive committee of the Girls' Athletic. club held yesterday at the school. Swimming and skating will feature the Play day, Miss Inga Hoem, physical education instructor at the school, said. Activities for the rest of the 1937- 38 school year were discussed at the meeting. A new constitution was approved and adopted at the meeting.

Members of the constitution committee were Dolores Walker, Betty Craver, Dorothy Sullivan, Ruth Hanson, Isabelle McCarthy and Margretta Sweet. To Adopt Song. Members of the club voted to adopt a club song. A contest will be held for adoption of a suitable song. it was decided, and two tickets to the Thanksgiving day football game will be given as first prize to the winner.

Michael T. O'Leary Funeral will be held Saturday for T. O'Leary, vetservices, eran Butte fireman who died yesterday at his home, 1140 West Diamond street. The cortege will form at 9 o'clock at the home and will proceed to ImConception church for services. Burial will be in the family plot of St.

Sandlot football has claimed Its first victim here this year. John William Sullivan, 15, of North Crescent street, died almost instantly of a broken neck sustained when he tackled a ball carrier in an unorganized football game at the Cinders about 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock in St. Patrick church. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. The boy, a freshman, left Christian Brothers, high school, after classes dismissed went to the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. his clothes.

James hospital. Sullivan died en route hospital, in the arms of a cousin. Edward Corr. 824 West Granite street. Corr, a junior high school student, was watching the game.

The death was the second attributed to football in this region this Joseph M. O'Brien. 16, captain St. Peter Central high school football team in Anaconda, died Oct. 20 from a kidney Injury suffered in the Christian BrotherSaint game Oct.

1. Sullivan was born in Butte and resided for some time in Missoula, returning here about two years ago. His sister, Margaret, is a student at Girls' Central high school. He was graduated from St. Patrick's parochial school last spring.

His father, Del Sullivan of Butte, who died in 1930, was one six brothers who enlisted in the World war. Faculty members of Christian Brothers school expressed deep regret over the boy's passing The news was a distinct shock, they said. Surviving relatives are his mother, Mrs. Mary Williams; sister. Margaret; four Mrs.
